Melia Arnett-Archie
Melia is the Founder and Chief Counsel of The Modern Creator’s Law Firm, a practice dedicated to providing expert support to small businesses, content creators, social media influencers, and other innovators. With over a decade of experience as senior in-house counsel for large global corporations, Melia knows how to help creators and innovators bring their ideas to life while managing risks.
As a seasoned business lawyer and former prosecutor, Melia is well-equipped to advise, protect, and defend her clients’ interests. She specializes in business organization and management, brand protection and defense, and social media law, including data privacy and cybersecurity.
Melia’s goal is to help creators grow in confidence, knowing they have established their businesses and brands on a solid legal foundation. This allows them to focus on what matters most: creating and running their businesses. Let Melia and her team help you succeed.
Education:
Melia is a graduate of Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK where she earned her Bachelors Degree in 2003 majoring in Government Pre-Law. She earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2006.
Experience:
Melia served as Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, Florida from 2006 until 2012 serving in serval leadership roles, including Division Chief of the Juvenile Crimes Division and Community Prosecutions, under the honorable Katherine Fernandez Rundle.
Melia transitioned in-house to serve in the corporate law departments of major global companies from 2012 until 2022. During her time working in Big Corporate Law, Melia created and managed global legal practices in Data Privacy Cybersecurity, and Technology. Her experience includes working closely with product engineers, inventors, technologist, and sales and marketing teams.
